Like myself, many people have relocated to the Carolinas for a variety of reasons. Located in proximity to the beach, lakes, and the mountains has made the Greater Charlotte area very desirable. Over 133,000 people relocated to North Carolina in 2022 alone. The moving truck giant UHaul ranked North Carolina and South Carolina as the 3rd and 4th most popular destinations for relocation in the United States, trailing only Texas and Florida.
Why are so many people moving? The job market in the Greater Charlotte area has been a major driver. According to the payroll company Gusto, job growth in Charlotte increased by 16% with bigger gains expected in 2023. This combined with affordability, mild weather, and a family friendly atmosphere has led to the area being highly desirable with no signs of slowing down.
Relocating with or without a family is not an easy task and can be stressful everyone for everyone. As mentioned above, I too relocated with my family to take advantage of this great area.
